system. And to make sure our customers don’t have any wasted trips, we’ve developed
a range of services that allow them to check if a product’s in stock and reserve
it by phone, text, web or phone app.
Argos is a pioneer in multi-channel retail shopping and has won many awards, including
Retail Week’s ‘Multi-Channel Retailer of the Year’ in 2011. We were also a finalist
in Retail Weeks ‘Customer Service Initiative of the Year’ in 2010. And that’s not

Our internet site receives 6.9 million visitors per week and has again ranked at
the most visited multi channel retailer site in the UK. In the run up to Christmas
2011, Online Shopping accounts for 43% of total company sales. Outside of peak time,
this figure is 39% - although this is increasing every week.
To support these services we have three UK Contact Centres with jobs for 2,500 advisors taking over 14m calls a year.
