At Argos, the word retail could describe everything we do. The people in
our distribution and Contact Centres are supporting a massive retail operation. The
people at our head office are driving it forward. But to keep things simple, this
section refers to the network of stores that are the public face of our business.
Of course, retail management doesn’t just mean being a store manager. There
are always plenty of other people starting or progressing their retail management
careers with Argos. We regularly have opportunities for team leaders* in our stores,
and for stock managers and customer service managers (equivalent to deputy managers
or assistant managers), right the way up to area managers and regional general managers.
